Wireless Flow Sensor

VISUM FERTILIZER

Zero Blockages. Full Yield.

A wireless fertilizer flow sensor that monitors granular fertilizer application in real time, detecting blockages on every row of positive-pressure application systems, such as Strip Tills and Air Seeder machines.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

What is the Visum Fertilizer?

The Visum Fertilizer is a wireless blockage sensor that allows farmers/operators to remotely monitor the presence or absence of granular fertilizer flow in each row. When a flow interruption or blockage occurs, the operator is alerted immediately.

Available for positive-pressure fertilizer systems, the sensor installs inline between the metering unit and the hose with no inter-row cables and no complex setup required

A single system can monitor up to 99 rows simultaneously, detectfertilizer flow across the entire machine.

COMPATIBLE EQUIPMENT

Machine Types

Visum Fertilizer is only available for positive-pressure machines, such as Strip Tills and Air Seeders.

FERTILIZER - PRESSURE

Volume-based dosing by positive pressure

Designed to monitor granular fertilizer flow in machines that use positive-pressure, volume-based fertilizer delivery. The sensor is installed inline between the diffuser/air release and the fertilizer outlet hose, respecting the original hose length. Upper and lower hoses and metal clamps are included.

  • Detects presence or absence of flow per row
  • Avoid pointing the antenna toward metal obstructions
  • Install with the internal antenna facing up — never flat
  • Never install upside down

Frequently Asked Questions

No, the Visum Fertilizer has a long-life internal battery that does not require replacement during the normal lifespan of the product.

Yes, the Visum Fertilizer is available for both gravity dosing and positive pressure dosing machines. Installation procedure may vary between the two types — refer to the product manual for details.

During operation, check that all sensors are responding. If one is missing, it may be due to low battery. If the monitor is turned off and on again, that sensor will no longer appear when function F1 is activated.

Check that the cable is intact and properly connected to a 12V–24V power supply (red/blue = positive, black = negative). Also verify that the fuse is plugged in and intact.

Access function F2 on the monitor and adjust the volume level. Volume can be set to mute (A1), low (A2), medium/factory default (A3), or high (A4).

Access function F3 on the monitor and adjust the brightness level. Available levels are: low (B1), medium/factory default (B2), and high (B3).

The issue may be related to signal strength or antenna placement. Verify the antenna is mounted vertically on the monitor and has a direct line of sight to the sensors. Remove any radio interference sources nearby and reposition the monitor if needed.

Yes, the Visum Fertilizer sensor is resistant to dust and water jets, and performs reliably in high temperatures and rain during field operation.

If the monitor enters the maneuver state during active planting, or if it starts beeping unexpectedly, the fertilizer may be building up on the sensor walls. Clean the inner surface with a soft cloth or sponge never use pressurized water, as it can damage the sensor.
